Exhibition of Confirmation Paintings of Sixth Class

Published on May 28, 2021

The sixth-class children of Carysfort National School have been preparing for Confirmation.
On the railings surrounding the Church there will be over sixty paintings put together by the children.
The children were asked to put together scenes about the community in which they live,
and where they felt the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit. Since the Church, school and home
are the obvious dwelling places of the Holy Spirit,
the children were asked to paint local scenes outside of these places.

Please take some time to look at the paintings, we hope our parishioners and visitors alike
will enjoy the colorful display, as a sign of the Holy Spirit working in our faith community.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to Ms. Cooper, Mrs. Murphy, Mr. Nolan
and Orla Fitzgerald who helped the children prepare the exhibition.

Fr. Peter O’Connor, Adm.
