SUMMER DUES APPEAL

Published on June 18, 2021

This weekend an appeal for Summer Dues is being made throughout every parish in the Archdiocese of Dublin. The contribution to the Summer Dues will go towards the salaries of the priests.

Once again as Administrator I thank our parishioners for the great support they have already given with the Christmas and Easter dues, which has been exceptional under the current circumstances.

The other method of supporting the clergy’s salaries is by the first collection at Mass. This collection supports the priests of our parish, sick and retired priests, priests in low-income parishes, and priests working in special ministries throughout our Diocese.  Due to the pandemic this collection has not been taken up for nearly a year due to the lockdowns, and has left a huge shortfall in the fund that supports the clergy. You can read the archbishops letter, which is available in the Church, as to why he is making an appeal for a collection called the Summer Dues.

If you feel you are in a position financially to contribute to the appeal, Summer Dues envelopes are available at the door ways in the Church. You may also contribute through the dues donate button online at sjb.ie

Envelopes may be left in the safe at the back of the church or in the letter box or dropped into the Parish Office.
