THE PARISH OF BLACKROCK CURRENTLY HAS A VACANCY FOR A SACRISTAN.

THIS IS A PART-TIME ROLE AND WOULD IDEALLY SUIT SOMEONE SEEKING FLEXIBILTY IN THEIR WORK HOURS. IT WILL INCLUDE WEEKEND WORK, CHURCH HOLY DAYS SUCH AS EASTER AND CHRISTMAS, AS WELL AS FUNERALS, WEDDINGS AND BAPTISMS.

We have also put extra lights inside the tower of the Church, which lights up the tower from the inside at night.

Blessing of Pets

Last Sunday we had Blessing of the Pets after the 12.00 noon Mass. Fr. Peter  said a blessing from  the top of the steps and blessed each animal with Holy Water.

A St. Francis prayer leaflet and Holy medal was available for all who brought their pets.


Blessing of School Bags

Blessing of school bags will take place next weekend 11th/12th September at all our Masses.

Please encourage your children to bring their school bags to Mass.
